After many years of diligent monitoring efforts by our seniors, early morning visits to ADM, and rounds of heartbreak from seeing innocent deaths unfold before our eyes, we are finally seeing a ray of hope! Decals in the form of polka dot stickers are to be installed on the most collision-prone part of the ADM building, which could reduce the number of bird-building collisions at this section by by up to 90%.

The decals work by breaking up the reflection of greenery and sky on the glass, helping birds recognise the glass wall as a solid surface instead of an open space.

Funds amassed from this event will go towards funding the maintenance and installation costs of the decals at ADM. Through this event, we can all make a meaningful contribution to protect wildlife, and witness the outcome of our efforts right at our doorstep!

So how exactly can you contribute? We welcome anyone, whether you would like to contribute artwork for sale at our fundraiser bazaar, perform onstage, or help us keep the event running, et cetera. Being a ground-up, student-driven initiative, every helping hand is greatly appreciated!

You can also make a difference by simply visiting our event and showing your support! Aside from the art bazaar and live performances, we also have information booths where you can view our numerous specimens of bird collision victims and hear stories from our dedicated volunteers. Do seize the rare opportunity to join a discussion with our panel of scientists and experts about wildlife-friendly building design, happening on 28 Oct, 5-630pm @ ADM LT2.

Take a breather from your week 11 grind and visit us for a event filled with art, science and care for our little feathered friends!
